The Yellowstone Art Museum exhibits, interprets, collects, and preserves art, with an emphasis on Montana and surrounding regions, for the enrichment, education, inspiration, and enjoyment of all.

Be an extraordinary cultural destination for creative exchange.

We value art, imagination, creative process, and play.

  • Connect the contemporary past and present by preserving and exhibiting art.
  • Inspire and educate curious minds of all ages.
  • Enrich the community through interactive experiences and creative exchange.
  • Collaborate with community partners.
  • Be a social and intellectual hub for the community to create a sense of place.

We are funded in part by coal severance taxes paid based upon coal mined in Montana and deposited in Montana’s Cultural and Aesthetic Projects Trust Fund.
