Transitions: Autumn in the Yellowstone River Valley

November 7, 2013 - January 5, 2014

Autumn … it is perhaps the most contemplative season.  Artists have been drawn to the blend of riotous color and melancholy passing of time that autumn signifies for centuries.  Transitions: Autumn in the Yellowstone River Valley shares the work of a handful of artists working today who revisit this beautiful theme and find new inspiration in it each year.

Transitions allows you to appreciate the work of artists Clyde Aspevig, Bob Barlow, Mike Caskey, James Poulson, and Joe Trakimas, all of whom live or have lived on or near the Yellowstone River.  Visitors will be able to enjoy the different approaches that each of these traditional painters takes in approaching the theme of seasonal landscape painting.
