A nationally traveling exhibition circulated by International Arts & Artists, Washington, DC. The exhibition featured eighteen large sculptures plus an additional five installed outdoors. The work featured ranking international artists who examined the relationship between humans and nature, between the “natural” and the manmade, and between the idea of landscape and the built environment. Artists included Michele Brody, Kendall Buster, Ming Fay, Donald Lipski, Dennis Oppenheim, Roxy Paine, Wendy Ross, John Ruppert, Ursula von Rydingsvard, Valeska Soares and James Surls. Conversation about the definition of “art” and two lightings of the antlers on Dennis Oppenheim’s piece occurred during the show. A catalog by guest curator Carla Hanzal and Glenn Harper and a gallery brochure accompanied the show.
