yam camp

The YAM is committed to a safe and healthy environment for creating art.  YAM Camp will be smaller this year and outdoors whenever possible.  When children arrive, temperatures will be taken and everyone will wash hands.  Detailed information on safety will be provided in advance.

Growing artists spend a week at the YAM using the artwork in the museum to influence their own creations. YAM camp develops artistic skills though Visual Thinking Strategies. Every year this camp has a theme. Previous camps have explored themes such as “Art and Science”, “Student Artists Working with Professional Artists” and “Art All Around You”

This Year:

Spend a week at the YAM using the art in the museum to influence what you create.  This summer go behind the scenes (to places in the museum you’ve never seen), create art, and put it all together to make a video.
