Are you a passionate, licensed art educator who loves working with children of all ages?  The Yellowstone Art Museum is hiring a full time Museum Art Educator.  This unique position provides the opportunity to teach art to students from schools and educational programs in Montana and Wyoming in the context of a contemporary art museum.  If you have always wanted to develop lesson plans that are aligned with tours of modern and contemporary artwork, work in a museum education studio, teach both inside a museum and in schools, and manage a year-round gallery of student artwork, read our job description.  We are only considering applicants who are state-licensed art educators with teaching experience.

Position:  Museum Art Educator
Status: Fulltime, exempt
Position summary: The Museum Art Educator is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality art education programming to the public by teaching and developing lesson plans.  The Museum Art Educator works with other education department staff to design and implement art education programs, both on-site and off-site.  The Museum Art Educator works closely with docents (volunteers), children, educators, and adult visitors.  The Museum Art Educator is primarily responsible for the YAM’s pre-K-12 teaching plus some work with college aged and adult visitors.
