About Us
The mission of the Yellowstone Art Museum is to exhibit, interpret, and collect art, with an emphasis on Montana and surrounding regions, for the education, inspiration, and enjoyment of all. The Museum offers as many as twelve temporary exhibitions annually, and its acclaimed art education program serves eastern Montana and northern Wyoming. Our permanent collection includes the finest work by Montana's early Modernists, the important Poindexter Collection of Abstract Expressionism, and the Virginia Snook Collection of Will James's illustrations.
